About Reno Project Calculators

Last updated June 9, 2026

Material estimating stacks three separate problems: the area math, the waste factor, and the fact that stores sell by the bag, box, and bundle. Every calculator on this site handles all three — and shows each one separately, so the quantity you take to the store is a number you can defend.

Project coverage

20 estimators: Paint Calculator, Concrete Calculator, Tile Calculator, Flooring Calculator, Deck Calculator, Fence Calculator, Roofing Calculator, Mini-Split Sizing Calculator, Drywall Calculator, Wallpaper Calculator, Insulation Calculator, Stair Calculator, Brick Calculator, Baseboard & Trim Calculator, Wall Framing Calculator, Carpet Calculator, Siding Calculator, Paver Patio Calculator, Deck Stain Calculator, and Rebar Calculator.

Waste factors are stated, not smuggled

A tile estimate that quietly pads 10% is just a bigger guess. Here the waste factor is its own visible, editable line — 10% as a common default, more for diagonal layouts or complex cuts — and rounding up to whole bags or boxes is shown as the final step, so you know how much of your total is coverage and how much is contingency.

Planning numbers, not permits

These are planning estimates, not engineering or building-code guidance — confirm structural, electrical, and permit details with a licensed pro and your local building department.

When an estimate misses

If a coverage rate or formula here sends anyone back to the store, that’s a bug. Email [email protected] with what happened and the calculator gets corrected.
